What's In The Kit

✔ 7 individual hand stamps: V, D, Z and 4 number stamps

Gang stamp = all characters on one stamp for single-strike alignment. Custom made — allow 4–5 weeks after drawing approval.

GM engine Code stamps are found on most if not all early Chevy V8s, The DZ302 was a special motor and stands alone as Chevrolet's dedicated Trans-Am special.

Note for the stamps,

The Engine code stamps are the larger stamps located on the ID PAD of the engine. Commonly machined off when decking the block during rebuilding.

The Partial code is the smaller font,To completely stamp the engine both engine code and partial stamps are needed. (see other listing, GM engine stamp | Partial Code)

There are a lot of options and variations of these stamps. What we have listed here is the most commonly used options. If you do not see the font or stamp you are looking for please reach out as its too difficult and confusing to list it all.

They had two official dedicated lines to the motor, these lines had different operators and different shifts that translated into some different style fonts and stamping techniques. You will find variations on these motors, do not be alarmed if fonts on yours are slightly different as that can absolutely happen and not mean it's been restamped.

1 Gang style stamp with 7 characters (image is for style reference)

This is one single stamp, and you select each character you need Custom Stamp takes 4-5 weeks to make, after drawing approval You tell us the characters, we draw it out, you approve it, production starts. Will need a 3LB hammer at a minimum, or press.

**We will need to know what 0 and 1 you need, noted at checkout.

Per numbers photo...Square 0 (Bottom), Rounded 0 (Top), standard 1 (Bottom), Roman 1 (Top). If you have some specific requirement on a character please reach out before ordering. Sometimes the rounded 0 and square 0 were used in the same set of numbers. Typically the "VO" meant the rounded 0 was used, then later in the number set the square 0 was used.
