We do all sorts of custom work for customers here at RestoStamps. One of them being fully custom stamps to your liking!

A custom logo stamp is a personalized tool used to imprint a specific logo or design onto various surfaces, such as paper, fabric, leather, or even certain metals. These stamps are commonly used for branding purposes, DIY projects, or adding a unique touch to products. Here's a guide on how to create and use a custom logo stamp:

Creating a Custom Logo Stamp:

  1. Design the Logo:

    • Create, or have us help you create, a high resolution digital version of your logo using graphic design software. Ensure that the design is clear and well-defined, as this will impact the quality of the stamped image.
  2. Choose the Stamp Type:

    • Decide on the type of stamp you want. Normal stamping, reversed stamping, bold stamping, or dot peen stamps.
  3. Select the Stamp Material:

    • Depending on your needs, choose a stamp material that suits the surface you'll be stamping. You can stamp wood and steel with most stamps, however you can also get Wood and leather only stamps. Let us know your needs and we can help build you the right stamp.

    • We can also do foil stamps, wood burning stamps, and wax stamps.

  4. Choose the Size:

    • Determine the size of the stamp based on your logo and the available space on the items you plan to stamp. Consider whether a smaller or larger size would be more suitable for your intended use.
    • When measuring or requesting a stamp please follow this diagram, When we talk size with you it will be the character size, center to center.
  5. Order the Custom Stamp:

    • We will send you an invoice for the requested work and once paid your order will go into production.

Using the Custom Logo Stamp:

  1. Prepare the Surface:

    • Ensure that the surface you'll be stamping is clean and free from dust or debris. This will help achieve a clear and crisp imprint.

  2. Position the Stamp:

    • Carefully position the stamp over the area where you want to apply the logo. Take your time to align it properly for a neat and centered impression.

  3. Apply Even Pressure:

    • Press the stamp down onto the surface with even and consistent pressure. Avoid rocking the stamp, as this can lead to smudging. One good hit with the hammer is all you need.

Tips for Success:

  1. Test on Scrap Material:

    • Before stamping the final product, test the stamp on a scrap piece of the same material to ensure the impression and alignment are correct. Wood is a good first step to get the hang of things, then move over to scrap material of what you will actually be marking.
  2. Choose the Right Hammer:

    • 3Lb hammers is what we recommend as they do not need a large swing and still have enough weight in them to give a consistent impression.

  3. Clean the Stamp:

    • Clean the stamp regularly to prevent ink buildup, which can affect the clarity of the stamped image. Always inspect your tooling before and after to ensure nothing has changed and stamp is in proper working order.

A custom logo stamp can be a valuable tool for businesses, crafters, and individuals looking to leave their mark on various items. By following these steps, you can create and use a custom logo stamp to add a personalized touch to your projects.
