Restore the original factory stampings on your 1965–1968 Ford Mustang, Cougar, Torino with this precision stamping kit. Apron replacement is common practice when restoring your Mustang, and unfortunately you lose any remains of the number that was on the apron. This also happens naturally, as the factory apron is prone to rusting and rotting away.
Each stamp is CNC-machined in the USA from hardened tool steel to match the original factory font. That matters for frame-off restorations, numbers-matching builds, and show-quality accuracy. Get your car back on the road with the proper identification.
⚠️ Read This Before You Order: You Need A Press
This tool puts all 13 characters down in a single impression. A hammer will not work. It takes far more force than any hammer can deliver. You need a 20 to 25 + ton press at minimum to sink a clean, even mark into an automotive steel apron.
Stamp the apron before you weld it into the car. This is the right way to run the job and it is what we recommend to every customer. On the bench, in a press, you get one clean strike and a straight number.
If the apron is already welded in, we do not recommend stamping it. It can be done, but it requires a specialized press and the setup is dangerous. We will not advise anyone to attempt it.

These stamps reproduce the markings found on the fender aprons of your Ford. The font has been carefully studied from original components to match character shapes and proportions.
💰 What The Rental Actually Costs You
You pay $1,450 at checkout. $1,150 of that is a refundable deposit. Your cost to rent the tool is $300.
Doing more than one car? Two cars is $1,650 and three cars is $1,850. The deposit stays $1,150 either way, so your rental cost is $500 for two cars or $700 for three.
The $1,150 deposit comes back to you once the tool is returned and inspected.

✔ Tool must come back undamaged to get the full deposit refunded.
✔ You can request extra characters to do more aprons while you have the rental.

Can I Send You A Part And Have You Stamp It?
No. We do not stamp customer-supplied parts, plates, or metal of any kind. We make the tools and you do the stamping.
The only stamped items we sell are the data tags and windshield tags we manufacture ourselves. For your apron, rent this kit or buy the stamp set, and have a shop with a 20 ton or larger press run it.
