Vanity use only Monterey Marquis 68' windshield tags.
This is the Aluminum data tag used on the windshield for your 1968 Mercury Monterey, Marquis (Monterey, Montclair, Park Lane, Marquis, Colony Park).
Does not come bent you will need to bend into shape and stamp accordingly.
If you want the part number stamped into the tag we can add that.
OEM Part number is the C8AB or C8AZ stamp on the bottom of the tag.
Please reach out if you would like the tag completely stamped with your full 11 digit number on it. Not for use on vehicle, off-road vanity use only.

How to Choose Between the "B" and "Z" Codes
The difference comes down to whether the tag is original or a replacement. If the vehicle still has its original tag from the assembly line, it follows the "B" version (C8AB), which was used internally by the factory workers building the car. However, if the tag was ever lost, stolen, or damaged, a replacement had to be ordered after the car left the factory. In that case, it follows the "Z" version (C8AZ), which was the code used by the parts counter at a local Ford dealership.
